ECG confirms technical fault affecting purchase of electricity credits

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a technical fault that is currently disrupting the purchase of electricity credits for customers using MMS-compliant meters.

In a statement issued on Sunday, December 28, ECG said the problem is affecting credit purchases made through the ECG Mobile App, the official short code, and some third-party vendors.

The power distributor assured customers that its technical team is working diligently to resolve the issue and restore normal service as soon as possible.

ECG apologised for the inconvenience caused and expressed appreciation to customers for their patience while efforts are underway to fix the problem.
