MP Cuts Sod for Maternity Block, Donates Motorbikes to Boost Healthcare in Offinso North

The Member of Parliament for Offinso North has taken a major step toward improving healthcare delivery in the constituency by cutting sod for the construction of a modern maternity block and obstetrics theatre at the Akumadan Health Centre. The project, undertaken in collaboration with Nana Akumadanhene, is expected to significantly strengthen maternal and child healthcare services in the area by providing a safe and well-equipped environment for expectant mothers. When completed, the facility will help reduce childbirth-related risks, ensure timely medical interventions during emergencies, and ease pressure on existing health facilities while bringing essential healthcare services closer to residents. As part of efforts to enhance healthcare operations, the MP also donated two motorbikes to the Health Directorate to improve mobility for health workers. The motorbikes are expected to support outreach services, community health monitoring, and emergency response across the constituency. The MP noted that the initiative forms part of a broader commitment to investing in healthcare infrastructure and logistics to ensure equitable access to quality health services. He reaffirmed his commitment to working with stakeholders to promote sustainable development and improve the overall well-being of constituents.#OffinsoNorthAnidasoɔ
