An aspirant for General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, Eugene Boakye Antwi, has called on party members and sympathisers to actively participate in the party’s ongoing nationwide membership registration exercise to strengthen its grassroots structures.In a statement issued on March 7, 2026, Mr. Boakye Antwi appealed particularly to members at the polling station level to ensure their names are properly captured in the party’s register as part of the ongoing exercise scheduled from March 1 to March 31, 2026.He stressed that the strength of the New Patriotic Party had always been built from the grassroots, noting that polling stations remain the foundation for the party’s organisation, mobilisation and electoral success.According to him, the membership registration exercise presents an opportunity for party faithful to renew their commitment and actively support the party’s development from the grassroots level.Mr. Boakye Antwi explained that after the registration exercise, a verification of members will take place from April 1 to April 14, 2026, ahead of the polling station executive elections scheduled for May 10 to May 16, 2026.He further outlined the subsequent stages of the party’s reorganisation process, including Electoral Area Elections from June 10 to June 15, 2026, Constituency Executive Elections from July 11 to July 12, 2026, Regional Executive Elections from August 8 to August 9, 2026, and the National Delegates Conference from September 18 to September 20, 2026.The aspirant also encouraged polling station executives, electoral area coordinators, constituency officers and grassroots organisers across the country to mobilise members to ensure a smooth and credible reorganisation process.He noted that the reorganisation exercise would help the party deepen participation, strengthen its structures nationwide and position it for future political success.Mr. Boakye Antwi concluded by urging party members to unite and contribute to building a stronger and better organised New Patriotic Party.“Long Live NPP, Long Live Ghana,” the statement concluded.
