Police arrest three robbery suspects, recover firearms in Afienya operations

The Ghana Police Service has arrested three suspects in connection with a series of armed robbery incidents reported in Afienya and its surrounding communities in the Greater Accra Region.

In a statement released on Friday, December 2, the arrests, carried out by the Special Support Unit of the Police Service, followed intelligence-led operations in Afienya, Atadeka, Apollonia and other areas affected by the robberies.

The suspects have been identified as Seth Noi Tetteh, also known as “Wonder,” Selasie Emmanuel, and Sulemana Osman.

According to the police, Seth Noi Tetteh was first taken into custody at the Atadeka Police Station on December 24, 2025, for his alleged involvement in multiple robbery attacks in the area.

During interrogation, he reportedly admitted participating in several robbery operations across Afienya, Atadeka, Apollonia, Spintex Road, Airport Residential Area, Community 18, Ashaiman, Mataheko and Oyibi, and revealed that he operated with accomplices.

Acting on further intelligence, police extended their operations to Kasoa Ofaakor on December 26, 2025, where Selasie Emmanuel and Sulemana Osman were arrested at their hideout.

A search conducted at the residence led to the recovery of a pump-action gun, a BB cartridge, a Bruni pistol and three rounds of ammunition. The recovered items are currently being held as exhibits to aid investigations.

All three suspects are in police custody assisting with ongoing investigations, as the Ghana Police Service intensifies efforts to dismantle the suspected robbery network and ensure that all individuals linked to the criminal activities are brought to justice.
