Majority Leader Ayariga Dismisses NPP’s Bawumia as ‘Repackaged Old Wine’

The Majority Leader of Parliament, Hon Mahama Ayariga, has dismissed the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) re-election of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as their 2028 flagbearer, stating that the NDC will defeat him in any election.

Speaking in Parliament, Ayariga said “Ghanaians do not forget” that Dr Bawumia’s presidency would be a “repackaging of the same administration” with the same economic ideas that pushed Ghana to the edge.

He emphasized that Ghanaians will judge by “lead experience, credibility, and results”, pointing to the Vice President’s track record.

Ayariga asserted that the NDC is confident of beating Dr Bawumia in any election, saying “the NDC can beat it any day”. He urged Ghanaians to focus on the NPP’s record and not be swayed by “new faces or fine words”
