Madina MCE urges MMDCEs to seek donor partnerships for development

The Municipal Chief Executive of La Nkwantanang–Madina, Ibrahim Faila Fuseini, has called on Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) to explore alternative funding sources beyond central government allocations.

He made the appeal during a ceremony to mark the start of construction of key projects, including a classroom block, teachers’ bungalow, clinic, and mosque, at Babayara School.

Fuseini emphasized the need for creative leadership and proactive engagement with donor agencies to accelerate development, citing the growing demands of communities.

He linked the projects to President John Dramani Mahama’s development philosophy, focusing on social inclusion and welfare.

The MCE highlighted challenges identified in the municipality, including inadequate infrastructure and lack of essential facilities, which his administration is working to address.
