According to him, cocoa farming requires years of sacrifice, sweat, and patience before a single bag is harvested — and he believes farmers understand that pain better than anyone.
He criticized the National Democratic Congress government over the reported reduction of about GH¢1,000 per bag, describing it as too harsh on struggling farmers.
However, he strongly cautioned farmers against cutting down cocoa trees for galamsey, insisting that destroying farms for illegal mining would only worsen their long-term situation.
He encouraged farmers to remain patient and continue cultivating cocoa, expressing confidence that the New Patriotic Party would review and increase producer prices if voted back into power.
