The Ghana Education Service (GES) has strongly condemned the assault on a teacher at Kade Senior High Technical School (SHTS) in the Eastern Region, assuring the public that punitive action will be taken against those responsible for the incident.
In a statement released on December 10, GES expressed its full support to the affected teacher and emphasized its commitment to protecting educators in the performance of their duties.
“The GES views this act of violence with the utmost seriousness and will work closely with authorities to ensure that those responsible face the full rigors of the law,” the statement read.
While details of the assault have not been disclosed, GES assured that it is taking the matter very seriously and is collaborating with relevant authorities to address the issue promptly.
The service also urged students, parents, and the community to respect the rights and dignity of teachers, emphasizing that violence against educators will not be tolerated.
