Samuel Abu Jinapor, Member of Parliament for Damongo, has called for peaceful conduct ahead of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primary on January 31.
Jinapor emphasized that the party’s behavior during the election will have far-reaching implications for its future.
Jinapor urged party members, delegates, and supporters to prioritize the collective interest of the NPP above individual ambitions, stressing that unity after the primary is crucial for the party’s long-term success.
He added that a peaceful and credible primary would mark an important step towards rebuilding confidence within the party and among the wider electorate.
The NPP has five presidential aspirants: Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, and Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong. The party has signed a peace pact to ensure a peaceful primary.
