A Ghanaian delegation has participated in the 11th Annual Conference on Ethnic and Religious Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding in the United States of America, focusing on lessons and emerging approaches to managing conflicts and promoting peaceful coexistence.
The delegation included a participant who attended alongside colleague, Hon. Francis-Xavier Kojo Sosu, at the conference held last week.
Organised by the International Center for Ethno-Religious Mediation (ICERMediation) and hosted by the School of Liberal Arts at Mercy University, the conference brought attention to the relationship between conflict, culture and mediation.
Held under the theme, “Conflict, Culture and Mediation Studies: Exploring Past Lessons, Present Realities and Future Trends,” the conference examined how lessons from past conflicts and present-day realities can inform future approaches to mediation and peacebuilding.
The event provided a platform for discussions on ethnic and religious conflict resolution and the role of mediation in promoting peaceful societies.
