Lands Minister Arrives in South Africa for 2026 African Mining Indaba

The Minister for Lands and Natural Resources and Acting Minister for Environment, Science and Technology, Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah (MP), has arrived in South Africa to participate in the 2026 African Mining Indaba Conference.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, the Minister arrived on Sunday, February 8, 2026, to attend Africa’s largest mining investment and policy forum, which brings together governments, global mining companies, investors, and regulators.

Leading Ghana’s delegation, Hon. Armah-Kofi Buah is expected to engage in high-level dialogues and strategic meetings focused on attracting investment, shaping policy, and promoting responsible and sustainable mineral development across the continent.

A key highlight of Ghana’s participation will be the Ghana Day event, scheduled for Wednesday, February 11, 2026, where the Minister will headline discussions showcasing Ghana’s mining and investment potential.

The statement noted that Ghana’s participation aligns with the vision of President John Dramani Mahama to strengthen the mining sector through expanded global partnerships and targeted strategic investments.
