Ghana Police Service earns praise from GJA President

The Ghana Journalists’ Association (GJA) has commended the Ghana Police Service for its improved conduct towards journalists, with President Albert Kwabena Dwumfour noting that there have been no recorded attacks on journalists for months.

Speaking at the Asantehene’s historic visit to the Police Headquarters, Dwumfour praised the police for their changed behavior, marking a significant improvement in relations between law enforcement and the media.

The GJA president noted that the development highlights the police’s efforts to build bridges with the press and foster a more conducive environment for journalists to do their work.

This development is seen as a major win for press freedom and reflects a broader commitment to improving police-media relations.
