Nigerian authorities say British heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua has been involved in a car crash on the Ogun–Lagos state expressway.

Police in Ogun State confirmed to the BBC that the 36-year-old sustained minor injuries but is “fine.”

Images and videos circulating on social media show a damaged vehicle believed to be involved in the incident, while local media reports say two people died in the crash.

Authorities say investigations are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the accident.

The incident comes just weeks after Joshua secured a high-profile victory over American YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, a bout that drew global attention and reinforced Joshua’s dominance and experience in the ring.
