Koforidua High Court hears final arguments in Suhum 2024 Parliamentary Election petition

The final hearing of the 2024 Parliamentary Election petition for the Suhum Constituency is underway today, Thursday, December 18, 2025, at the Koforidua High Court.

The case pits former Member of Parliament, Kwadjo Asante-Oboafo, against the current New Patriotic Party (NPP) MP, Frank Bekoe Asiedu, popularly known as Protozoa, alongside other parties to the suit.

As of the commencement of proceedings, MP Frank Bekoe Asiedu was present in court, accompanied by his lead counsel, Gary Nimako, as the court prepares to hear final submissions in the matter.

The petition challenges the outcome of the 2024 parliamentary election in the Suhum Constituency, which has remained a subject of keen public and political interest since the polls.

The Koforidua High Court is expected to consider arguments from all parties before delivering its decision on the highly anticipated case.

More updates will follow as proceedings continue.
