Ghana Police Service and Security Agencies Conduct Coordinated Show of Force Exercise Ahead of Christmas Festivities

Ghana Police Service begins second phase of 2025/2026 recruitment nationwide

The Ghana Police Service, in collaboration with other security agencies, is conducting a coordinated “Show of Force” exercise today, December 11, 2025, as part of heightened security measures for the Christmas and New Year holiday season.

The exercise, started at 9:00 a.m. at the Black Star Square, involves the Ghana Armed Forces, Police Service, Prisons Service, National Fire Service, Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority, and Immigration Service.

This joint operation aims to enhance operational readiness, deter criminal activity, reassure the public of security preparedness and strengthen inter-agency cooperation

The Ghana Police Service recently acquired 40 armoured vehicles, showcased in a similar exercise on December 6, 2025, led by Inspector-General of Police Christian Tetteh Yohunu.
