NDC race tightens: Ato Forson rises to 28% as Asiedu Nketia slips to third – Global InfoAnalytics

A new social media edition tracking poll by Global InfoAnalytics shows a major shake-up in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearership landscape, with Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson recording a dramatic rise in support.

According to figures released by the Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, Mussa Dankwah, Ato Forson’s popularity among committed online respondents has jumped from 13% in September 2025 to 28% in the latest December tracking, placing him in a dead heat with Education Minister, Haruna Iddrisu.

The poll ranks NDC National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia in third place with 24%, while Vice President, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, comes fourth with 7%.

Alternative Scenario Puts Ato Forson in Clear Lead

Global InfoAnalytics also analysed a potential scenario in which both the vice president and Haruna Iddrisu do not contest. Under this model, using committed voters’ data:

1. Ato Forson leads with 40%
2. Johnson Asiedu Nketia follows with 32%
3. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa – 10%
4. Julius Debrah – 9%
5. Prof. Joshua Alabi – 6%
6. Hon. Eric Opoku – 3%

The analysis further shows that Ato Forson captures 34% out of the combined 35% support base of Prof. opoku Agyemang and Haruna Iddrisu, while Asiedu Nketia secures 24%. Ablakwa receives 16%, Debrah 13%, Alabi 9%, and Eric Opoku 4%.

A comprehensive Report is expected in January 2026
